Original files, restored results and account storage

Understand original comparison, browser copies, account saving and recoverable removal.

Originals are processed in your browser

The current recognition pipeline reads photos and PDFs in the browser rather than storing their original bytes on the server. This is why opening an account document on another device does not automatically restore its original-file comparison.

Restored results can still be sensitive

A result contains recognized text, tables, layout and embedded images. Removing a name in one place does not remove every copy in other paragraphs or images. Review the entire page and final download before sharing.

Choosing account saving sends the reconstructed result and included images to the server. Keeping original bytes on your device does not mean that no document content is transmitted.

Browser and account copies are separate

Recent work remains in this browser's storage after sign-out. On a shared computer, keep any required backup and remove recent work and browser site data.

Account storage holds the version you explicitly saved. Reopen the latest account version and review conflicts when editing across devices.

Removal is not permanent erasure

Removed account documents retain their content for recovery and count toward storage limits. Contact the published support email about erasure, access, correction or retention. Start with the purpose of your request rather than sending an entire sensitive document or password.

Check your rights before sharing

Possessing a document does not grant permission to publish it. Check permissions for personal information, paid course material and copyrighted content. Prepared examples let you practise editing and downloading without using sensitive originals.
