Information and purposes
ChatGPT sign-in provides a site account identifier, email and available display name for account separation and storage. Token balances and welcome grants, reservations, charges and returns are stored to operate usage.
Original photos and PDFs are processed in the browser. Choosing account saving sends reconstructed text, tables, layout and included images to the server. These results can still contain personal information from the source.
Browser and server storage
Language choice and up to 12 recent documents remain in browser storage after sign-out. Remove browser site data to clear device copies.
Account documents and token records use Sites account-specific storage; document bodies are stored privately. OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure provide sign-in and hosting. Platforms may process technical access information for operation and security.
Retention and removal
Account documents remain while you keep them. Removed documents retain their content for recovery and count toward storage limits. Email us about permanent erasure or retention. Token records support usage checks and prevention of repeat welcome grants.
Email inquiries disclose the sender address and message for responding and handling the request. Do not send complete sensitive documents or passwords.
Advertising, cookies and external services
This version does not run Google ad-serving scripts or analytics tools. Publisher-verification metadata and ads.txt do not themselves display ads or run tracking-cookie scripts.
If Google advertising is enabled later, Google and other ad providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Required consent procedures and this policy will be updated before activation. Ads will not be activated without meeting applicable regional consent requirements.
